We all know Season 7 is going to kick our faces in with a brutal premiere since one of the key cast members is going to be nicked off the show by the hands of Negan and his augmented baseball bat. It’s going to be shocking as hell, you can cleary see it on their facial expressions in the gallery right above.

The first half of Season 7 sees the group fractured, broken, bereaved, and picking up the pieces while living under the thumb of oppression. Negan will have successfully brought the survivors under his will, brutally convincing them to live under his rules with a deadly and horrific example of what happens if they don’t.

That song was “The Moth,” and the band closed with it. The opener, however, was a tease of the timeless classic “The Ultra-Violence” from their 1987 debut full-length. That was enough, that brief moment, to cause the crowd to swarm to the front and get them primed for thrash frenzy of “Evil Priest,” also from the first album. From then on the crowd was a moshing circle pit of sweat and aggression.

From there we were treated to “Claws in So Deep” from 2010’s Relentless Retribution, “Thrown to the Wolves” from 2004’s The Art of Dying, and “Left for Dead” from 2013’s The Dream Calls for Blood.

Maybe because it was such a short set the energy in the crowd never subsided, and if you stretched your imagination just a bit, it might have felt like it was 1987 all over again. While the crowd’s enthusiasm held strong, so too did the impeccable sound, pure thrash riffage, killer solos, frantic pace from the kit, and steady bass.

Anthrax and Slayer couldn’t have asked for a better band to warm up the crowd.

The upcoming science fiction thriller series was created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for HBO, based on the 1973 film of the same name, which was written and directed by American novelist Michael Crichton. Much like the original motion picture, the TV series also tells the story of a futuristic theme park called Westworld.

WESTWORLD is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, exploring a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.

Ahead of its premiere, HBO has released a new batch of images from the series featuring key characters such as Dr. Robert Ford (Hopkins), the brilliant, taciturn and complicated creative director, chief programmer and founder of Westworld. And Teddy Flood (James Marsden), a new arrival to a small frontier town, quickly proves both his charm and talent with a revolver.

The show begins on Sunday, Oct. 2nd at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.

Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.

Entertainment Weekly was first to report all the images earlier today, which gives fans an early look at the new Dr. Frank-N-Furter previously played by Tim Curry (IT), Brad Majors, Janet Weiss, Riff Raff, and more. Laverne Cox is now playing everyone’s favorite doctor from Transsexual, Transylvania, who appears to have upgraded the look of Curry’s original portrayal in the 1975 musical-comedy.

Cox said,

It’s inspired by the original but it’s really our own take. It’s way more elaborate and couture. [Director] Kenny Ortega had this vision that Frank was at this old theater and found these old burlesque costumes and is, like, using them and wearing them now but has altered them a bit. We were on set and a reporter saw me and said I looked like the love child of Grace Jones and David Bowie. I said ‘That’s exactly right.’

Directed by Kenny Ortega (Hocus Pocus) and based on the cult classic feature film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, is a reimagining, which is celebrating 40 years of theatrical distribution of the original – longer than any other film in history.

The two-hour reboot will debut on Fox this fall.

Synopsis

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW follows sweethearts Janet (Justice) and Brad (McCartan), who stumble upon Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s (Cox) bizarre abode. Frank-N-Furter, a sexually ambiguous, flirtatious alien mad-scientist – with the help of his faithful servants Riff Raff (Carney) and Magenta – is holding an annual, Transylvanian science convention to showcase the birth of “Rocky Horror” (Nair) – a fit, attractive man created solely to fulfill Frank’s desires.

However, in the meantime, you can do yourself a huge favor right now and indulge yourself in a new batch of images from the film, courtesy of EW. If you look through the gallery above, you will come across Adam Driver as the lead antagonist Kylo Ren (assuming), Domhnall Gleeson as fellow bad guy General Hux and Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma.

In addition, we also get a new look at heroes Daisy Ridley as Rey, Oscar Isaac as Poe and John Boyega as Finn, plus shots of Abrams and co-writer Lawrence Kasdan on the set of Star Wars. There’s a lot more, so go ahead and take a quick peek.

Along with the new images are new details you will want to read concerning Driver’s Kylo Ren:

We came to learn that he was allied with The First Order, a remnant of the Empire that remains a fearsome threat to the galaxy and its denizens. Above, he is seen flanked by their stormtroopers, striding with intense purpose through the smoldering ruins of a once peaceful village on Jakku.

As for his weapon of choice, Abrams can confirm what many suspected: it’s a tool he crafted all by his lonesome. “The lightsaber is something that he built himself, and is as dangerous and as fierce and as ragged as the character,” Abrams says.

Next up is Crimson Peak, which many critics are already considering his Gothic masterpiece. Based on the trailer released earlier today (check it out below), we are starting to believe it’s a masterpiece too. Words can’t really describe how great it looks so far, but unfortunately, we are kind of afraid the story might not be as stunning. Toro’s last effort, Pacific Rim, was uninspiring to say the least. Let’s just hope Crimson Peak doesn’t suffer the same bad storytelling fate as Pacific Rim did.

At the moment, we feel very positive about all aspects of Crimson Peak and we are thrilled to share a fresh batch of photos from the movie, just to show our appreciation.
