Scarlett Johansson [VIDEO] /2017/03/21/ghost-shell-2017-water-fight-feat-scarlett-johansson-video/ /2017/03/21/ghost-shell-2017-water-fight-feat-scarlett-johansson-video/#respond Tue, 21 Mar 2017 19:51:19 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=116773 There’s a little over two weeks left before the first live-action version of Ghost in the Shell finally hits the big screen. Paramount Pictures has unleashed a clip to help tie in the wait until the big release date this month.

As many of you already know Scarlett Johansson stars as the one-and-only cyborg counter-cyberterrorist field commander. The new clip from the film shows how deadly Major’s (Johansson) combat skills are and how effective her camosuit can be under dangerous circumstances.

When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people’s minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that she has been lied to: her life was not saved, it was stolen. She will stop at nothing to recover her past, find out who did this to her and stop them before they do it to others.

Directed by Rupert Sanders, Ghost in the Shell also stars Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Michael Pitt, and Juliette Binoche. The film hits theaters nationwide on March 31, 2017, in REALD 3D and IMAX 3D.

Stay tuned to Yell! Magazine for much more daily updates.

From a failed smuggling run to helping the Rebellion destroy a powerful Death Star, the Millennium Falcon clearly has an important role in Star Wars.

Here is how the famous starship reshaped the galaxy:

Star Wars Infographic: How Much Would It Cost To Build The Millennium Falcon? /2015/03/07/star-wars-infographic-cost-build-millennium-falcon/ /2015/03/07/star-wars-infographic-cost-build-millennium-falcon/#respond Sat, 07 Mar 2015 15:30:45 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=96738 Get your Star Wars nerd-boner ready, because we got an infographic that is guaranteed to excite you. Remember that ambitious Death Star petition the White House rejected in 2013? Well, if that project ever got approved, it could have costed tax payers roughly $852,000,000,000,000,000 to build, according to Lehigh University students.

What if Star Wars fanatics signed a petition for something a little more realistic to build? Perhaps Han Solo’s famous Millennium Falcon? It’s much smaller and requires less steel composition to build. Plus, our technology has come a long long way since 1977. Alright, so maybe our technology isn’t quite there yet, but when we do get there in the future, we at least now know how much it would cost to build the Millennium Falcon.

Check out the infographic below for the price breakdown.

9 Awesome Things From Full Moon’s Zombies Vs. Strippers [COMIC] /2012/06/26/zombies-vs-strippers-comic/ /2012/06/26/zombies-vs-strippers-comic/#respond Wed, 27 Jun 2012 02:31:41 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=35127 Our friends over at Full Moon were kind enough today to give us this EXCLUSIVE Zombies vs. Strippers single sheet comic strip, which pretty much had us jumping up and down since we laid eyes on it. Specifically our new writer, Joanna Jaguar, who was lucky enough to get an early screening, and plans to bring us the Zombies vs. Strippers movie review sometime this week. As promised.

Well guys, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what Zombies vs. Strippers has in store for us based on the film’s title nor does it take a Mensa membership to decipher these nine over-the-top illustrations by Noel “Scotch” Anderson. Even my stripper neighbor could figure it out. Speaking of my neighbor, I suspect she’s turning into a zombie right this moment. Damn, her moan’s are really starting to get out of control. Got to go!

Charles Band’s upcoming splatter schlock, Zombies vs. Strippers is scheduled for home video on July 10, 2012.

Gloomy Yellers Issue No.6: Delayed Testicular Trauma /2012/06/19/gloomy-yellers-issue-no-6-delayed-testicular-trauma/ /2012/06/19/gloomy-yellers-issue-no-6-delayed-testicular-trauma/#respond Wed, 20 Jun 2012 02:54:49 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=34742 Well, Yellers. We don’t have any new staff members being introduced this week. But if you’ve been paying attention, we have some new blood contributing. First we abducted her, then we locked her in the closet with TheMatt, but when we heard Thee Ol’ Ninja-Kick-To-The-Balls one whimper and cry for his mommy, we decided to give her her own room – complete with water-board table, pendulum, bricks, and mortar. So, we strapped her down, tapped a vein, and let her blood spill over a keyboard. To our surprise, the process actually produces content. But, hopefully we’ll have more on Joanna Jaguar in our next issue.

So, anyway, this week TheMatt kicked me in the balls. If we’d known he’d had OMG Ninja training killing Pedobears in hell, we would have shoved his ass on a twin-prop plane headed for Antarctica when he came into the office for an interview. Unfortunately, the little bastard didn’t divulge such information, or that he can pick his nose through his ass, and he got the job.

As usual, thanks to Abby Howard and TheMatt for documenting our insanity.

Enjoy,
-Evil

Gloomy Yellers Issue No.5: Whales And Pirates And Bunnies, Oh My! /2012/05/26/gloomy-yellers-issue-no-5/ /2012/05/26/gloomy-yellers-issue-no-5/#respond Sun, 27 May 2012 03:07:25 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=33421 This week in Gloomy Yellers you’re getting two new character introductions for the price of one – well, we gotta introduce the Yell! Magazine staffers before we tell you about one of our adventures on our time-traveling Ferris wheel. So, yeah, there’s Jim and he likes to spell like a Britt, which I have to lovingly convert to the far-superior American spelling. Seriously, who puts the ‘r’ before the ‘e’ in the word “center”? And that damn ‘u’ randomly appearing in words for fucktards’ sake. And you get to meet the illustrator of this wonderfully farcical composition, Abby. Apparently her parents adorned her room with reliefs depicting Moby Dick… or was it certain nautical scenes from Pinocchio. We should probably change her monicker to Abby “Ahab” Howard.

As usual, thanks to Abby Howard and TheMatt for documenting our insanity.

Enjoy,
-Evil

Gloomy Yellers Issue No. 4: Sophisticated Games Of Superior Skill /2012/05/08/gloomy-yellers-no-4-sophisticated-games/ /2012/05/08/gloomy-yellers-no-4-sophisticated-games/#respond Tue, 08 May 2012 13:00:09 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=32464 Just to recap, last week you met the pink-paper-bag-toting NoFaceNorm and the week prior you met our resident vampire, Jamie Lee. As you have likely gathered, we at Yell! Magazine like to head hunt our staff from the local nuthouse in Togus. Split personality? Sure, we won’t discriminate. Unusually creepy fetish? Welcome aboard. Multiple restraining orders? welcome aboard. Necrophiliac tendencies? Here’s your keyboard and a slab.

We have a lot of downtime at our office, which is why we like to chain our staff to the walls (we’re currently looking into those electric dog collars), and when we have hours to toil away we like to play games. This week in Gloomy Yellers we’re giving you a sniper’s view into one such game we like to play. It’s pretty complicated so you better pay attention.

As usual, thanks to Abby Howard and TheMatt for documenting our insanity.
