A teaser has just been released from the pilot episode for a new paranormal comedy titled, Cursed, from Head Above Water creator, Connor Fairclough, and award-winning producer Tristan Barr.

Ever been interrupted by an interdimensional force of evil while on the toilet? Or had to take responsibility of a possessed doll when you haven’t even mastered personal responsibility? Had to distance yourself from a clingy demon spirit in the form of a clown? Isaac and Ned have, and they’re not overly thrilled about it.

Cursed is a horror/comedy series that parodies the clichés and techniques typically found in the horror genre, similar in style to Shaun of the Dead. Shot with the intention of an online release, Cursed draws influence and satirises such horror films as The Conjuring, IT, The NUN, and Annabelle.

The story follows Isaac (Kyle McCallion), who releases a curse on himself after fiddling with a Ouija Board one drunken night. Through each episode, he and his useless housemate Ned (Omar Al-Sobky) must deal with countless paranormal hauntings while managing their daily mundane lives.

Creator and writer Connor Fairclough said:

The show was born out of my amusement when watching various horror movies and placing myself in scenes, begging the question, what would I do if faced with different entities of evil?

Connor reunites his Head Above Water cast that can be seen on Channel 9 and Stan, including Elliot Loney who plays Perry, an unassuming but aspirational entity and Neel Kolhatkar who plays “Charles D” a pompous real estate agents assistant.

Entitled “Baby Proof,” STARZ released a teaser clip of the episode before it airs tonight on the network.

Ruby’s house of horrors reveals her master plan as well as a little bundle of joy that terrorizes Ash. Pablo’s Brujo ties bring him back to the path he needs to take to reveal his true destiny in the battle against evil.

The second half of Season 8 will continue to focus on the war between Rick Grimes and the Saviors. But there’s a few obstacles both forces will need to face in the meantime.

In addition to the war, Negan continues to deal with struggles within his ranks as workers, traitors, and others’ thirst for power cause conflict at the Sanctuary. Having gifted the Saviors a major victory, Eugene’s loyalty is repeatedly tested as new obstacles present themselves.

AMC promise to end the fight in Season 8, so make sure to catch the premiere on Sunday, February 25th with an extended episode at 9:00pm ET.

The Walking Dead Season 8B Synopsis

All out war has had a devastating impact on every person involved. The communities themselves are fractured. Alexandria has been destroyed, the Hilltop finds themselves pinned, and the Kingdom is shattered — half of them dead, the other half controlled by the Saviors.

As all-out-war consumes us, the line between good and evil continues to blur. People fighting for what they believe in. Everybody working together for something bigger — to feel safe and have a world worth living in.

However, this time evil forces have a new battle plan against their longtime chainsaw warrior. They target Ash’s mysterious daugther, Brandy. But Ash will once again prevail!

The third season finds Ash, having gone from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero, discovering that he has a long lost daughter who’s been entrusted in his care. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. Blood is thicker than water in the battle of good vs Evil Dead.

Also reprising their roles from the first two seasons are Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, and Dana DeLorenzo, with Arielle Carver O’Neill joining the season 3 cast as high schooler Brandy Barr, the long-lost daughter of Ash.

Ash vs Evil Dead Season 3 premieres on February 25.

That’s right! Before the two-episode season finale, Z Nation’s executive producer David Michael Latt revealed via Twitter that the show has been officially renewed for a fifth season by SYFY. A season which is expected to range between 13–15 episodes, similar to previous seasons of Z Nation on SYFY. While no specific premiere date has been announced, Season 5 will most likely return in September and finish off in December of 2018.

In addition, the season 5 announcement came with the tagline “The Reset Begins 2018,” so horror hounds can speculate that the series will continue to explore new avenues when it returns next year.

AMC just announced The Core, a weekly dissection of genre filmmaking hosted by director and fierce genre fan Mickey Keating (Psychopaths, Carnage Park). Besides being hosted by Keating, the ambitious director will also be accompanied by various other filmmakers from the world of horror.

The Core is a dissection of the brilliant minds from which genre films spring. Whether it’s a demo on head explosions, or a primer on avoiding predictable jump scares, The Core busts open the traditional talk show and plays with its guts. Host Mickey Keating and his guests examine the onscreen techniques and real-life psychologies that strike fear into our very core. We’ll turn you on to what’s thrilling in filmmaking today, without subjecting you to a chat with that dude Greg from film school.

Produced in partnership with Uproxx, each week features Keating, joined by a special guest from the genre community, including acclaimed DJ and music producer Flying Lotus (aka, Steven Ellison); esteemed actor, producer, and huge self-proclaimed genre fan, Elijah Wood; Canadian cult favorites, The Soska Sisters; and acclaimed filmmaker, Rodney Ascher.

The Core will debut November 16th, on Shudder.

Ahead of the Season 8 premiere, fans can now watch the first three minute, which features an inspiring speech from Rick before things get extremely ugly.

This season, Rick brings “All Out War” to Negan and his forces. The Saviors are larger, better-equipped, and ruthless — but Rick and the unified communities are fighting for the promise of a brighter future. The battle lines are drawn as they launch into a kinetic, action-packed offensive.
