Thanks again for the article. It is very much appreciated.

Martial Arts classes are more expensive then a traditional fitness gym, however you have to look at the services provided. At a gym its you and equipment you can use and thats about it unless of course you get a trainer like you said and then the cost goes up to lets say 50 a session and lets say you do that once a week for a month that makes your gym membership nearly $240-250 for a month. Most Martial Arts Academies run between 100-200 a month depending on how many classes they offer and how many times a week, potentially you could do 2-4 classes a day 5-6 times a week if you really wanted to. Many of these gyms offer some form of strength training as well, so you get fitness and a discipline to learn for less then a gym membership and a personal trainer 4 times a month. One on One with a coach can be costly as well between 40-100$ an hour, but thats normal as personal trainers and martial Artists who give one on ones have put in many years developing the skills to become a trainer. So it is what it is, I was not saying in that article that fitness gyms are bad or the wrong choice, I currently go to a fitness gym for some training, I was only advocating that for the cost and desires training in a Martial Arts Academy I feel is a better choice. Unless of course body building is your goal, then heavy weights and a good fitness facility is the way to go. Hope this helps. All the best.

I’m currently paying $40 a month for a gym membership, and to have a trainer could cost an additional $50-$100 per session. What’s the average cost at MMA academy’s with a trainer? This could be concern for someone like myself.

So with that said our Academy is open to everyone from the student with absolutely no exp. to the competitive fighter. So the first replies answer is exactly correct. Just a little background on why we chose the word “academy”. Thank you.
