Twitching Tongues has announced they’ve added lead guitarist Sean Martin (ex-Hatebreed) as an official member of the band, which also includes brothers Colin Young (vocals) and Taylor Young (guitar/vocals).

Martin amicably split with Hatebreed in 2009, and joins Twitching Tongues as they prepare for the release of their upcoming third studio album, Disharmony, which will be released on October 30th, with Metal Blade Records.

Colin states:

The addition of Sean to Twitching Tongues is absolutely fucking insane to us. He is someone Taylor and I have looked up to and respected musically for over a decade. For two kids from Connecticut, this is as good as it gets.

Martin adds:

I’m excited to say that I’ll be playing guitar for Twitching Tongues in support of their new album, Disharmony. I’m looking forward to getting back on the road to do what I was born to do… summon the riff. See you all soon.

Jasta’s New Track Is UFC’s Matt “The Immortal” Brown’s New Entrance Song https://www.yellmagazine.com/jasta-ufc-matt-the-immortal-brown-entrance-song/96682/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/jasta-ufc-matt-the-immortal-brown-entrance-song/96682/#respond Fri, 06 Mar 2015 19:24:38 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=96682 jasta - the immortal

Hatebreed‘s Jamey Jasta has a new song with his side project, Jasta. The track, appropriately titled “The Immortal,” was written for the UFC’s Matt “The Immortal” Brown and is going to serve as the fighter’s new entrance music. While you’ll have to wait till UFC 185 on March 14th, when Brown fights Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendrick, to see “The Immortal” enter to his new music, you can hear the new track right here on Yell! Magazine:

Visit Jasta’s Bandcamp page to purchase both the extended and the original versions of the track. Otherwise, “The Immortal” will be available for purchase on March 10th via iTunes and will also be available for streaming via Spotify.

Jamey Jasta states:

I’ve been thinking about releasing new Jasta tunes for a while now, so when Matt “The Immortal” Brown asked me if I’d be interested in putting something together for his entrance music, an idea instantly came to mind. I’m a big fan of his so this worked out perfectly. Matt is fighting March 14th at UFC 185, it’s gonna be a war!

Make sure to catch Matt “The Immortal” Brown fighting Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks as part of the UFC 185: Pettis vs. Dos Anjos PPV main event, March 14th in Dallas, Texas. For more information on the event, visit www.ufc.com.

Catch Jasta performing at this year’s New England Metal & Hardcore Festival on April 17th, at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts. Learn more at: metalandhardcorefestival.com

Hatebreed: Live Dominance (2008) – Yell! Magazine’s Full Concert Series https://www.yellmagazine.com/hatebreed-live-dominance-full-concert/79314/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/hatebreed-live-dominance-full-concert/79314/#respond Sat, 01 Mar 2014 03:35:48 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=79314 Hatebreed is one of those bands that you either love or hate, and there seems to be a lot more haters than lovers. In reality, though, I have a feeling that Hatebreed suffers from Michael Jackson Syndrome, meaning that a lot more people like them than are admitting to it.

As the performance embedded above demonstrates, which is Hatebreed’s 2008 Live Dominance DVD release, there’s a lot to like about this band. For one, it’s brutally honest high-energy metal. It’s so violently energetic that it’s like experiencing what Tony Montana did after he packed his face full of cocaine. What Hatebreed delivers is a savage mix of hardcore (as in New York) and hardcore (as in Suicidal Tendencies) with extreme metal (as in Pantera), with elements of thrash and maybe a hint of some Rage Against The Machine influence.

Hatebreed formed back in 1994, and after a split and an EP they released their first full-length, Satisfaction is the Death of Desire, in 1997. Since then, they’ve released five more albums and shared the stage with some of heavy metal’s heaviest hitters, such as Slayer, Deftones, Entombed, Slipknot, Lacuna Coil, Disturbed, System of a Down, and more.

As a side note, Hatebreed has been nominated for a Grammy award and has been mistakenly associated with the White Power movement by CNN. Also, Hatebreed is into Mixed Martial Arts, being a supporter of UFC Middleweight Chris Camozzi.

Hatebreed – Live Dominance (2008) Set List:

1. This Is Now
2. Perseverance
3. A Call For Blood
4. To The Threshold
5. Empty Promises
6. Destroy Everything
7. Voice Of Contention
8. As Diehard As They Come
9. Hallow Ground
10. Doomsayer
11. Betrayed By Life
12. Straight To Your Face
13. Facing What Consumes You
14. Before Dishonor
15. Never Let It Die
16. Last Breath
17. Beholder Of Justice

Yell! Magazine’s Concert Series brings you kick-ass live shows to get your party started right and to help you vent your Friday frustrations.
