According to MMAfighting.com, the UFC is eyeing a 135-pound match between Holly Holm and Brazil’s Bethe Correia in the main event of UFC Fight Night 111 in Singapore. Holm who is riding a three-fight losing streak in the UFC is now desperate for a win to help her regain momentum again inside the Octagon. Until she was the first to defeat Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, Holm was unstoppable in MMA.

Correia, 33, is highly recognized for defeating all of Rousey’s teammates in the past. She holds notable wins over Julie Kedzie, Jessamyn Duke, Shayna Baszler, and Jessica Eye. The Brazilian is coming off a draw against Marion Reneau in March.

UFC Fight Night 111 will take place on June 17 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

In the c-main event, Legendary middleweight Anderson Silva prepares for a return to form against Derek Brunson, who’s out to make a statement against the all-time great. Also, top middleweight contender Jacare Souza and finisher Tim “The Barbarian” Boetsch prepare to clash.

UFC 208: Holm vs. de Randamie will be held on February 11, 2017, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Plus, one of the greatest fighters of all time makes his return to the octagon against a dangerous contender when #7 ranked Anderson Silva takes on #8 ranked Derek Brunson in the co-main event.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated UFC event, the promotion has released an extended preview of UFC 208. The event will be held on February 11, 2017, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

On Saturday night, “The Lioness” tweeted that she wants to win the UFC featherweight title too and wants to challenge the winner of Holm vs. de Randamie at UFC 208, which takes place in February.

Nunes, 28, defended her belt against Rousey in just 48 seconds by TKO due to punches at UFC 207. After amassing a three-fight win streak, the Brazilian mixed martial artist also stunned Miesha Tate early on via knee and punches and then won the fight by submission (rear-naked choke) in the first round at UFC 200. That’s when Nunes cemented herself as the women’s bantamweight champion.

If things don’t go Nune’s way, she still has a few challenges coming up in her division. Julianna Peña and Valentina Shevchenko will meet in the main event of UFC on FOX 23, the winner of the bout potentially has a match up with Nunes.

UFC cameras go inside the training camps of both UFC fighters as they ready for their 135-pound bout on FOX this Saturday night. In addition, Edson Barboza will meet Gilbert Melendez in the Octagon for a lightweight contest, which is not to be missed.

Cyborg recently made her UFC debut last week against Leslie Smith at UFC 198. She destoyed her opponent early in the very first round by TKO (punches).

She went out like a gangster, she get choked, she held on, she tried to fight the choke. Holly Holm technically did everything right to fight the choke, she went up against the fence so Miehsa couldn’t get her other hook in. Then Miesha held on to that choke so tight, she knew she was getting choked, so she got off the fence and tried to dump her on her head, and Miesha still didn’t let go. According to MMA Fighting, it sounds like the Irish sensation Conor McGregor is moving up to lightweight and will challenge Rafael dos Anjos for the title in the main event of UFC 197 on March 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, confirmed sources are also saying Holly Holm will make her first bantamweight title defense against former STRIKEFORE champion Miesha Tate in the co-main event.

The UFC has made an official announcement nor has confirmed the fights mentioned above, which were originally reported by Lance, a Brazilian outlet, and Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter.

After dethroning former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in November, Holly Holm quickly became the new face of women’s MMA, which took her only a year to achieve in the UFC. Besides all the amazing new perks of being a UFC champion, Holm will also be enjoying her lucrative new UFC contract this year.

According to today’s edition of the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Holm revealed that she just inked a fresh contract and that she’s ready to fight sooner than later. Meaning Holm doesn’t want to wait until the summer or later for a rematch with Rousey.

Holm said,

If I fight sooner rather than later, it won’t be a rematch. But there’s still a possibility for a rematch. …We’ll wait and see how it unfolds.

Apparently, the UFC will be officially announcing her first title defense shortly.

Holm added,

I just don’t want to wait around for things if they’re not set in stone. A lot of people have been talking about the rematch, but nobody really knows for sure. I haven’t really heard if she really wants it yet or not or if she’s occupied with some other things right now. I think that’s the hardest part for me. … I don’t want to wait around for something that may not happen. I want to be able to fight soon. I like being active, because I love the sport.

There’s good speculation that Holm could face Miesha Tate early in 2016. And Holm insists the announcement will be “soon.”
