Now, they have released two collectable audio clips from the game featuring chilling samples from a conversation with Pamela Voorhees, who addresses the loss of her poor son Jason at Camp Crystal Lake.

The first few of many collectable tapes that you can find scattered around Camp Crystal Lake, Higgins Haven and Packanack Lodge with Pamela Voorhees discussing her dear, sweet little boy Jason.

As many of you probably already know by now the game will launch with multiplayer-only gameplay allowing players for the very first time to take on the role of Jason in his various incarnations throughout the storied franchise spanning three decades. Camp Crystal Lake, Higgins Haven, and Packanack Lodge will all be playable locations for your countless hours of killing pleasure. In addition, the single-player experience will be released as a free update later this summer.

Friday the 13th: The Game is priced at $40 and will be finally available to download for the Xbox One, PS4, and Steam beginning Friday, May 26th.

The Friday The 13th Retrospective (Part 2) – Or: Time-Traveling, Parasitic Zombie Goalies From Hell! https://www.yellmagazine.com/friday-the-13th-retrospective-part-2-best-kills-hottest-babes/22778/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/friday-the-13th-retrospective-part-2-best-kills-hottest-babes/22778/#respond Fri, 03 Jun 2016 13:20:48 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=22778 Here we are again, on Jason’s chopping block, my much too easily dismembered readers. Seriously, guys! Why don’t you get some muscle tone going or something? If you can’t survive more than one machete strike to your dangly bits, then how am I supposed to make my rapid and not at all cowardly escape while using you all as disposable human meat shields? Where’s your commitment to keeping your faithful and much-more-important-than-you reviewer alive? Rest assured, your sacrifices will not go forgotten.

Friday the 13th Retrospective
Thanks… Billy? Bob? Billy-Bob?

Hey, isn’t that a scene from Total Recall? You know what that means! Hot, three-breasted Martian hooker action for any reader who manages to reach the end of this article. Don’t say I never reward with the gift of boobies. Speaking of unleashed sweater puppies, this is Yell! Magazine’s Friday The 13th Retrospective Part 2: Retrospective Harder!

In Part 1, we thoroughly examined Jason’s best kills and drooled over his sexiest victims. Well, I drooled. Maybe it’s a glandular problem. Or a horny-son-of-a-bitch problem. Either way, it’s a problem. The maid is getting tired of wiping up my drool puddles and other assorted puddles, which we won’t discuss at this particular junction in time. Suffice it to say, it’s never a good idea to take off your shoes in my house.

Where was I? Sorry, bodily fluids distract me something fierce. I blame myself for never moving past the masturbatory phase of my existence. What? I’m sharing, you ungrateful bastards! Sigh. Nobody loves me. Except lefty, righty, and Bambi the rhino horn sniffing hooker whose comatose form the plumber finally managed to pry off my crapper this week. (See: Top 10 Shark Movies and Top 10 Disappointing Threequels.) She was totally inappropriate for the tone of this article anyway. I need to call the escort agency for a replacement running gag whore… something in keeping with this retrospective…

Friday the 13th Retrospective
WE HAVE A WINNAH!

Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part VI

Or: Yeah, poke the dead serial killer with a lightning rod. What’s the worse thing that could happen?

Tommy Jarvis returns, played this time by Thom Matthews of Return Of The Living Dead. Jarvis wants to put his demons to sleep once and for all. Thus, he ventures to Jason’s final resting place in the hopes of reaching some form of closure by viewing the killer’s decomposing corpse. A bottle of Wild Turkey and enough Valium to anesthetize Richard Simmons works for me, but to each his own. In a twist nobody save a 5 year old could have predicted, Jarvis accidently, not to mention improbably, brings Jason back to life by sticking a metal pole in his body. Said pole is subsequently struck by lightning and before you can say, “It’s alive! It’s alive!” Jason is back to his old shenanigans.

Friday the 13th Retrospective
Kind of you guys to bury me with my mask. Saves me the trouble of killing another fat kid.

Jason Lives is an odd duck. On the one hand, there’s a welcome sense of energy to the movie that wasn’t present in Part 5. On the other hand, the franchise’s growing penchant for gag kills was starting to become annoyingly too noticeable. For example, one chick gets cornered in an RV’s bathroom by Jason, he promptly shoves her head into the wall, which leaves a Looney Tunes-style imprint of her face on the other side. Hardy-har-har! What a kidder, that Jason. Another girl gets her head twisted all the way around by Jason’s newfound supernatural strength.

To make things worse, this is the only entry in the franchise without any nudity! None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. A whole lot of nada… nadalot? Teenagers bang, as usual, but they do it fully clothed. No nude skinny dipping scene. No gratuitous forest humping. What the hell?

BEST KILL: There really isn’t one. All of Jason’s victims buy the farm in completely unimaginative ways. So here’s a montage of every kill in the movie, maybe they’ll make more of an impact when strung together like this.

BEST BABE: How am I supposed to declare a winner when nobody gives up the goods? Sigh. Well, Darcy DeMoss, who is naked in everything else she’s ever starred in, is in the movie. So to keep you interested, here’s a totally random shot of her hidden assets.

Friday the 13th Retrospective

Who was the first actor to reprise the Jason role for a second outing?

Celebrate Friday The 13th With This New Fright-Rags Jason Lives T-shirt https://www.yellmagazine.com/celebrate-friday-13th-fright-rags-jason-lives-t-shirt/108625/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/celebrate-friday-13th-fright-rags-jason-lives-t-shirt/108625/#respond Fri, 13 May 2016 13:25:36 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=108625 Its Friday the 13th folks! That means it’s time to celebrate. I’ll be chugging down a bottle of Jägermeister later this evening to honor the special day, and I hope you plan to do the same. If you’re looking to celebrate without any alcohol, then that’s entirely your problem but it’s also completely fine too. There’s plenty of Friday the 13th days to come, so you can save your energy for another one.

You can definitely continue to take a light day and simply invest in a very limited Jason Lives – Midnight Madness t-shirt from Fright-Rags. That’s right! Fright-Rags is here to save your sorry ass with this awesome new tee honoring the sixth installment in the Friday the 13th franchise. It’s the sequel with the worst looking Jason outfit ever, yes those yellow garden gloves still aren’t in fashion yet, but the kills are remarkably brutal in this one.

The deadline to purchase this tee will be tomorrow at midnight. So act fast because they will be gone forever. You can pre-order online and your order will be available mid-June. It’s a little wait, but it’s worth it in my opinion.

The tees range from $18 to $28.

Friday the 13th: The Game – Insane Jason Door Execution Footage https://www.yellmagazine.com/friday-13th-game-insane-jason-door-execution-footage/108601/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/friday-13th-game-insane-jason-door-execution-footage/108601/#respond Fri, 13 May 2016 01:38:56 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=108601 Alright horror hounds! If you’re a huge fan of gore and splatter then this recent pre-alpha footage from Friday the 13th: The game is aimed directly at you, courtesy of legendary stuntman Kane Hodder and developer Gun Media. I mentioned Hodder since he performed all the amazing kills in the game via motion capture.

In the clip above, the iconic masked murderer is back again with another brutal kill. Jason Voorhees takes out his frustration on a camp counselor using a door and I promise you it gets extremely bloody. Probably one of the bloodiest kills from Jason yet.

Plus, if you remember Friday the 13th: Part 3 well, then the first thing you will notice is the excellent recreation and render of the environment from the movie. It looks like it’s beyond 100% accurate to the finest details. If this really is pre-alpha footage, I’m very impressed and I personally can’t wait to see the final version.

Friday the 13th: The game is officially slated to arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in October. Stay tuned to Yell! Magazine for much more updates to come.

Jason Voorhees Close Ups From Friday The 13th: The Game https://www.yellmagazine.com/jason-voorhees-close-ups-friday-13th-game/106312/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/jason-voorhees-close-ups-friday-13th-game/106312/#respond Mon, 01 Feb 2016 03:46:45 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=106312 Besides looking mighty deadly in Mortal Kombat X, Jason Voorhees is starting to look even deadlier in his very own video game, Friday the 13th: The Game. You can check him out in the gallery right above.

Gun Media who is currently developing the third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title shared new images of Jason this weekend at the PAX South event and through Facebook, which depicts his appearance with the mask and without from Friday the 13th Part III. Before Kane Hodder played the legendary villain, Richard Brooker took Jason to the big screen in 1982. However, it will be Hodder who will once again portray Jason via motion capture technology. It appears like the video game will also feature several versions of Jason based on the films.

Friday the 13th: The Game will be released this fall for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Stay tuned to Yell! Magazine for much more updates to come.

Prisoners Writer To Pen Next Friday The 13th Installment? https://www.yellmagazine.com/prisoners-writer-pen-friday-13th-installment/105419/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/prisoners-writer-pen-friday-13th-installment/105419/#respond Sun, 06 Dec 2015 16:29:24 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=105419 Friday the 13th

With a new official Friday the 13th video game moving forward for a release next year, it’s quickly getting time for Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes to get their asses off the ground and get moving on the next installment in the film franchise. That’s if they plan to release the film around the same time as the video game, which is slated for October 2016.

Anyhow, it appeared like the film was in the pipeline when prior screenplay drafts were worked on by Nick Antosca (Hannibal TV series) and Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg (The Autopsy of Jane Doe), respectively. But recent creative changes suggest the studios are involving brand new talent for the next Friday the 13th instalment. According to TheWrap, David Bruckner is no longer set to helm the new F13 movie and eyes are now set on Aaron Guzikowski (The Wolf Man reboot, Prisoners, Contraband) to pen a fresh screenplay draft, with negotiations currently underway.

While plot details are still under wraps, F13 will most likely focus on the return of horror icon Jason Voorhees, who continues to brutalize young camp counselors at Camp Crystal Lake for the past three decades.

The CW Developing The Friday The 13th TV Series https://www.yellmagazine.com/cw-developing-friday-13th-tv-series/102649/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/cw-developing-friday-13th-tv-series/102649/#respond Wed, 12 Aug 2015 15:37:08 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=102649 Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th fans please gather around a camp fire because we got a new killer story just for you. Jason Voorhees and his razor sharp machete will continue to slash on the small screen, courtesy of The CW (the network responsible for iZombie). It was revealed yesterday by CW President Mark Pedowitz.

According to Deadline, The CW is developing the new F13 series, which will be a dramatic take on the franchise that kicked off 35 years ago at Camp Crystal Lake. The series is being penned by the co-creators of the late 90s series The Pretender, Steve Mitchell and Craig Van Sickle. Just last year, Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films and Crystal Lake Entertainment came into agreement to back the show with Sean S. Cunningham serving as executive producer along with Mitchell, Sickle, Randall Emmett, George Furla, and Mark Canton.

Apparently, the F13 series is being labeled as a “sophisticated, horror/crime thriller” that could follow “the ongoing quest of a detective’s search for his missing brother that is somehow tied to Jason Voorhees, a long thought dead serial killer who has now returned to wreak havoc in the new Crystal Lake.”

We’ll continue to keep Yellers in the loop with further updates in the future. So stay tuned to Yell! Magazine.
