We’re super excited for this video to be released! It gives audiences a real taste of what we do to make these songs come together. No fancy effects, no laser light show. Just the five of us, in the pocket, doing what we do best — playing off of one another to create something pure for our fans. This video really captures that feel.

This is a bit different than the other videos that we’ve released. Playing to each other with our gear surrounding us is very much how we normally practice and write. There’s a lot of energy.

‘Kill. You. Now.’ is the opening track on our debut album, and one of our more aggressive songs overall. A personal favorite, I’m glad that the song was worthy of a video. It was a blast shooting this one — a brighter, more vibrant video with some different angles. I like that it shows a lot more of our personality, and am sure that PoH fans will enjoy it!

The band’s name is a crushing response to the world in which we live. The five-piece honed their sound by sharing the stage with Lamb Of God, Meshuggah, GWAR, and Testament to name a few. The band is pumped and is now ready to introduce the world to their debut album, Buried in Violence, which was mixed and mastered by the legendary James Murphy, known for his work with Death, Testament, and Obituary.

Product of Hate recently debuted their video for the thrash-heavy song “Blood Coated Concrete,” from their new album. Directed by James Zahn with Gary Jones serving as assistant director, the video was produced by Robert Kurtzman. I don’t really get the dancers in the cages, but whatever.

‘Blood Coated Concrete’ is an interesting song to have included on Buried In Violence since it’s one of our oldest songs from a live perspective, but a fan-favorite and longtime set-closer. It was also our first music video, though most people will be experiencing it now for the very first time, complete with James Murphy’s new audio mix. One of the visual pieces that we worked on with Robert Kurtzman and his Creature Corps, we had a blast shooting this – a video that adds to the brutality and in-your-face nature of the song. We’ve grown as a band since ‘Blood Coated Concrete’ was first written, but listeners can be assured that we’ve maintained the aggressiveness, and will bring it to new heights when Buried in Violence arrives this February!

Their first new music in over two years, “Revolution” presents the next evolution of the band as the first in a series of new singles for 2012. Stepping away from the traditional distribution model of an album or EP, PRODUCT OF HATE is embracing the “single” format, much as was done nearly fifty years ago, when an artist would hit the studio to immediately record a new track, then see it released mere weeks later.

“I’ve always been of the mindset that I was born too late. Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis – these guys would hit the studio, record a song, and it was practically released and on the radio later that night. That’s how rock and roll got started, and it’s also pretty damn metal,” comments lead guitarist Geno Rathbone on the new release plan.

For “Revolution of Destruction,” the band reconvened with Chris Wisco at Belle City Sound in Racine Wisconsin, the recording location of the bands 2010 release, THE UNHOLY MANIPULATOR EP. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Wisco (whose previous credits include albums for DIRGE WITHIN, NONPOINT, and LAZARUS A.D., among others), the track was produced by the band themselves. PRODUCT OF HATE will be joining Wisco in the studio once again this week to record another new song, “A Well-Deserved Death,” which is expected to hit retail in late June.

PRODUCT OF HATE first made headlines last year when they shot their ambitious and yet-to-be-released, UNHOLY MANIPULATOR short film (starring HELLRAISER actress Ashley Laurence), and again earlier this year when a performance video shot at the same time, “Blood Coated Concrete,” hit the web. Since February, the band has been exploring suitable label partners, while writing new material for a future full-length release.
