The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been running extremely great since the 1.06 patch, but Polish developer CD Projekt Red wants fans to have even a greater experience with the game. So a new patch is on its way, which will make a number of changes such as “various improvements” to horse behavior, the introduction of an item-stashing system, numerous bug fixes, and an “alternative movement response mode” for Geralt.

Patch 1.07 was announced earlier today and will most likely come out first for the Windows PC version of the game. Expect the full 1.07 patch notes to be released later this week.

In the meantime, check out some of the big changes coming below.

Witcher 3 1.07 Patch

– A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.
– A player stash for storing items, available in various locations throughout the game. Stash locations are marked on the player’s map.

– Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.
– Books are now placed in a dedicated tab in the Inventory and books that have already been read are properly grayed out.

– Multiple sorting options are now available in the Inventory.
– Alchemy formulas and crafting diagrams can be “pinned,” meaning all components and ingredients required to make them will be conveniently marked in the Shop panel.

– Dozens of fixes for quest related issues, both major and minor.
– A few performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes, and general gameplay.
– Various improvements to horse behavior.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Two Major Expansions To Cost $25 https://www.yellmagazine.com/witcher-3-wild-hunt-major-expansions-cost-25/98162/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/witcher-3-wild-hunt-major-expansions-cost-25/98162/#comments Mon, 13 Apr 2015 12:31:40 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=98162 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Earlier last week, CD Projekt Red revealed a sweet 5-minute gameplay trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which pretty much covered everything you needed to know about the open-world RPG. In addition, the Swedish developer also announced two major expansions: The Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

However, CD Projekt Red didn’t really say how much the add-ons would cost for players, but according to the official description of an Expansion Pass on various online stores such as Steam and GOG.com, we now have an idea on the price. The pass, which includes both The Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine add-ons will be sold for $25. Each expansion will also be sold separately, though individual prices have not been announced yet.

The Hearts of Stone will be the first expansion to hit store shelves in October 2015, while Blood and Wine is scheduled for 2016. Lastly, expect the expansions to add roughly 30 hours of additional gameplay to the massive game.

The Witcher 3 launches on May 19, 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

CD Projekt Red Reveals New Playable Character In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt https://www.yellmagazine.com/cd-projekt-red-reveals-playable-character-witcher-3-wild-hunt/93720/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/cd-projekt-red-reveals-playable-character-witcher-3-wild-hunt/93720/#comments Wed, 17 Dec 2014 21:31:56 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=93720 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Since some of you are probably still pissed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got delayed again (by four months!) we have a new update on the game’s playable characters that I’m sure will help you forgive the Poland-based developer.

Earlier this month, CD Projekt Red teased that Witcher 3 will feature a female playable character. Her name has been revealed as Ciri, a “powerful, living weapon capable of both healing and destroying the world she inhabits.” Ciri is an “exceptional” sword-fighter with several unique abilities that players can unlock throughout the open-world role-playing game.

However, she won’t be playable in the same way as Witcher 3’s main character, Geralt, according to CD Projekt Red:

Adding Ciri as a playable character unlocks quite a few narrative possibilities for the team, though while Ciri is a major character, she is not a playable character in the same way as Geralt. The game is still about him, his story, and how you, as the player, choose to face the choices and encounters in front of you.

You should also note that Ciri has some form of “mythical power” that will be discussed in depth by CD Projekt Red as we get closer to the release date, which is May 19, 2015, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Delayed Again https://www.yellmagazine.com/witcher-3-delayed/93309/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/witcher-3-delayed/93309/#comments Mon, 08 Dec 2014 21:42:25 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=93309 The Witcher 3

Seven months after announcing a deadline for Witcher 3 and promising fans in March there will be no more delays, CD Projekt Red managed to drop another bomb again for the games official release date. According to the Polish-based developer, Witcher 3 has been delayed a second time with a new launch scheduled for May 19, 2015 over the previously announced February release.

It appears the studio needs more time to correct key features in Witcher 3.

The sheer size and complexity of The Witcher, key features of the title, have had a decisive impact on production. Now, nearing the end of our work, we see many details that need to be corrected.

You should also know that CD Projekt Red responded in October to the rumor that the studio was entering crunch to finish the game on time, and that its public demonstrations were overly flattering.

If you have any doubts about Wild Hunt’s quality, have a look at the 35-minute gameplay video we published some time ago, or check out gamers’ reactions to our public previews at Gamescom, San Diego Comic Con, and E3 (it’s all public and available on the studio’s YouTube channel), and decide for yourself.

The full open letter to the fans on the delay from CD Projekt Red can be found right below.

Open Letter To Fans

Dear Gamers, May 19th, 2015.

Ever since we started working on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we knew it would be an ambitious game. We wanted, and still aim, to give you an incredible experience, an epic adventure in a vast, completely open fantasy universe.

The sheer size and complexity of The Witcher, key features of the title, have had a decisive impact on production. Now, nearing the end of our work, we see many details that need to be corrected. When we release the most important game in our studio’s history, we must be absolutely sure that we did everything we could to limit any bugs to a level that will allow you to enjoy the game thoroughly.

With this in mind, we took another look at current workloads and what they mean for the team. Even though everyone is working at full speed, we concluded that we need another 12 weeks, so we are shifting the release date of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to

We owe you an apology. We set the release date too hastily. It’s a hard lesson, one to take to heart for the future. We know what we want to do to make Wild Hunt one of the best RPGs you will ever play. And we continue to work hard to achieve just that. So, we apologize and ask for your trust.

Thank you for the all support you show us on a daily basis. We truly do appreciate it. It has fueled us in our passion since the start and will continue to do so.

Top 7 2014 Video Games Delayed To 2015 https://www.yellmagazine.com/top-7-2014-video-games-delayed-2015/85828/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/top-7-2014-video-games-delayed-2015/85828/#comments Mon, 09 Jun 2014 03:18:07 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=85828 E3 2014 is just around the corner, and I mean really just around the corner. The three-day annual video game convention that showcases some of the best games from around the world starts this Tuesday, at the Los Angeles Convention center. In the next few days expect to see lots of new trailers for upcoming games like Mirror’s Edge 2, Fallout 4, Evolve, Mass Effect 4, and many more. There’s going to be an abundance of reveals that only GameSpot or IGN can cover in depth, but we here at Yell! Magazine plan to trim that shit down and cover only the best for our core readers.

Since E3 is on the horizon, lots of games will be unveiled for the 2014 Holiday season. But what about the other awesome games that were previously promised to us for this year? Sure, they’ll be talked about during the convention, however, we won’t be able to get our hands on them until 2015.

Shockingly, there’s quite a few of them and to find out which high-profile games have been delayed, you’ll just have to continue reading right below.

No.7 Quantum Break

Unfortunately, Quantum Break won’t see the light at the end of the tunnel this year. Don’t even expect to see it at E3 this week because Remedy has plans to showcase it at Gameccon in August. It’s sad news, but we need to deal with that fact because this Xbox One-exclusive title is going to take time to develop. Quantum Break is a third-person action game that will feature time-bending powers and a live TV show. Expect to see it on store shelves next year.

No.6 The Order: 1886

To this day, not much is known about The Order 1886, other than it’s a third-person adventure and set in Victorian London. Sony attempted to showcase it in February, but the game still remains a mystery to everyone, including GameSpot. I’m sure something new will be revealed about the game this week during E3 because it’s time that Sony gives more to gamers. If you’re having any doubts, Sony is no doubt “pushing on,” and it will deliver the promised next-gen experience, but only in 2015.

No.5 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The hotly anticipated, open-world RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is another game that CD Projekt RED promised to release this fall, but because they wanted to reach a high-quality standard that gamers are expecting from them, the game has been rescheduled to February 2015. Don’t be surprised if The Witcher 3 gets pushed back again.

No.4 Mad Max

Since George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road has been delayed by more than 18 months and the film underwent numerous reshoots in November 2013, it only makes sense that the video game should get the same delayed treatment. At this moment, nobody really knows why Warner Bros. decided to move the release date for the Mad Max video game to 2015, but my only hunch is that it can be released around the same time as the film. Does that make any sense?

No.3 The Division

Did you really think The Division wasn’t going to be on this list? Shame on you. Even one of the developers at Ubisoft said the 2014 release date was “laughable.” There’s no official reason why the game has been delayed to 2015, but I’m sensing that the “level of realism” that Ubisoft is aiming for is taking a toll on the development team. Anyone see any job openings lately?

No.2 Batman: Arkham Knight

I don’t have to say much about Batman: Arkham Knight because I’m sure most of you played all of the previous installments before and already know it’s a killer franchise. But according to Rocksteady, the developer wants to nail the game down 100% this time. So, expect Arkham Knight to be the best damn sequel in the series yet. Arkham Knight was scheduled for the fall, but the release is now delayed to some time in 2015.

No.1 Dying Light

Dying Light is an evolution of Dead Island, which features new free-running mechanics that helps you evade and kill hordes of zombies. Techland, the developer behind Dying Light, wants to continue to improve the free-running mechanics, therefore, they have decided to release the game in February 2015.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – The Brutally Awesome Killing Monsters Trailer https://www.yellmagazine.com/witcher-3-wild-hunt-brutally-awesome-killing-monsters-trailer/64848/ https://www.yellmagazine.com/witcher-3-wild-hunt-brutally-awesome-killing-monsters-trailer/64848/#comments Wed, 14 Aug 2013 17:55:42 +0000 https://www.yellmagazine.com/?p=64848 Here’s the latest, totally brutal trailer for CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It’s a cinematic CG trailer that has a Game of Thrones vibe to it, but it’s beautiful in its violence. In the new trailer we see a bearded Geralt slaying evil with no mercy.

The Killing Monsters trailer was directed by Tomek Bagiński for Platige Image. Tomek’s other works include The Witcher, The Witcher 2, and Cyberpunk 2077.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due out in 2014 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
