Royal Hunt is out, Finntroll is in, Fates Warning is in, and nine more bands are to be announced for the 2014 Power, Prog, and Metal (PPM) Fest to be held April 18th, 19th, and 20th. There’s already an extensive lineup scheduled for the fifth annual event, which includes My Dying Bride, Pagan’s Mind, Monument, Borealis, Therion, and many more.
PPM Fest takes place at the Lotto Mons Expo in Mons/Bergen, Belgium. Tickets look pretty pricey, far too pricey in my opinion for an event without a major draw like a Big 4 band, Lamb of God, Rob Zombie, Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth, or something of that sort. But hey, if you splurge for a VIP ticket, the toilets are free… and so are trees. If you’re interested, tickets can be purchased at: www.ppmfest.com
Even with the steep prices, I wouldn’t mind checking this out. Besides, these fests are more about what you bring to the experience than who’s on the stage. OK, that last bit is a stretch. When you spend that kind of scratch, you expect to see a top draw.
We’ll let you know as news of PPM develops.
