There’s more classic Resident Evil coming your way horror hounds, so continue reading for the early scoop on Yell! Magazine. A special video message from Capcom producer, Yoshiaki Hirabyashi a.k.a. H, dropped earlier today confirming that the Resident Evil 2 remake project has been approved!
In the video above, Yoshiaki said the project was given the go ahead “thanks to your incredible passion and support.” This confirms Resident Evil 2 is being remade for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC by the team behind Resident Evil HD Remaster.
It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have pushed the project to get approved. The team here at Capcom Japan really appreciates fans’ passion and support and will do our best to bring fans what they really want.
Resident Evil HD Remaster has become a new staple for Capcom since its release in January, breaking sales records and becoming the fastest selling digital title in the company’s history across North America and Europe. It’s no wonder Capcom continues remake classics such as Resident Evil 2 and also Gamecube’s exclusive Resident Evil Zero.
A release date for the remake of Resident Evil 2 will be announced in the not too distant future, so stay tuned!
