Stephen King’s Under The Dome TV Series Will Premiere In June On CBS

under the dome novelIf you’ve been in the dark about Stephen King’s upcoming miniseries based on his sci-fi novel, Under the Dome, then let us shed some light on the matter. The series was in negotiation between Steven Spielberg’s television production company, Amblin Entertainment, and CBS Studios to bring Season 1 to life sometime this year, and we have some worthy new details about the TV series for you to catch up on today.

After many attempts of trying to find a suitable TV partnership for King’s Under the Dome, it’s now confirmed that CBS will broadcast the first 13 episodes this summer.

“This is a great novel coming to the television screen with outstanding auspices and in-season production values to create a summer programming event,” said Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment. “We’re excited to transport audiences Under the Dome and into the extraordinary world that Stephen King has imagined.”

Neal Baer, Stephen King, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Stacey Snider, and Brian K. Vaughan wrote the TV adaptation of Under the Dome with Episode 1 to be directed by acclaimed director Niels Arden Oplev and set to premiere on Monday, June 24. Thereafter, each episode will air every Monday during the 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. time slot on CBS.
