by The official trailer for Sinister 2 has arrived, and it looks pretty damn good. But at two and a half minutes, I wonder if all the good bits have been included in the trailer, leaving little surprise for the actual movie. With Ciaran Foy (Citadel) at the helm, I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I really enjoyed the first film, directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Ethan Hawke, and it looks like they’ve included much of the same devices for the second installment. Let’s hope that the movie doesn’t replicate the first one too much, but with a mother and her sons instead of a writer looking for inspiration, it should be different enough.
Sinister 2 opens in theaters on August 21, 2015.
Sinister 2 Synopsis:
Sinister 2 is about a young mother and her twin sons who move into a home that was once occupied by a murdered family. Unbeknownst to the new family, the horrible incident that happened to the old family is now about to happen to them. Now the only person that can help them is Deputy So & So.
