Aetherial Take Inspiration From The Evil Dead For New Track

Melbourne-based metal outfit, Aetherial, has unleashed the lead single from their upcoming debut album, The Still Waters of Oblivion. The track, “The Fallen Will Mark the Way,” hits the road running, hitting you like a freight train before quickly bringing in the melodic guitar work. The vocals are rough and gruff, but not quite up to death metal growls. The bass, the mix, and the small details throughout the track really do captivate the listener, and prove that Aetherial are a band to keep an eye on.

The Still Waters of Oblivion will be released on November 10th, via Truth Inc. Records (Oceania and parts of Asia) and Imminence Records (rest of the world). Album pre-orders are available here. https://smarturl.it/eqy994

Vocalist Shep Sheppard commented on the track:

’The Fallen Will Mark the Way’ is about the persistence and resilience that’s required to follow your destiny. It’s a song about always moving forward whilst letting go of the past. With the lyric video we wanted to stick with similar themes from the album artwork. There’s also a lot of inspiration from the trees in The Evil Dead, which definitely works on a number of levels.

The Still Waters of Oblivion was recorded, mixed, and mastered in Melbourne, at Everland Productions by Oresti Salter. The artwork, which was done by German artist Patrick Wittstock, visualizes the aural ingenuity of the band through intensely dark visual concepts.
