UFC bantamweight Valentina Shevchenko and many MMA fans, including UFC President Dana White were quite disappointed with Amanda Nunes after she pulled out of UFC 213. The champion who previously retired Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey has released a statement on why she couldn’t fight Shevchenko on Saturday night.
Following her disappearance from UFC 213, Nunes revealed via Twitter that she was forced to pullout of the title bout due to a re-occurring issue with “chronic sinusitis,” which is caused by an inflammation or swelling of the tissue lining the sinuses.

Nunes and her coach Conan Silveira also revealed that the fight has been already rescheduled.
I have never pulled out of a fight before. I am sorry to all my fans that came out to see me, I’ll make it up to you the next time I step in the cage. The fight is being rescheduled.
White threw Nunes under the bus during the UFC 213 post-fight press conference, saying that the champ wasn’t ready mentally for the fight.
It’s not like she was like ‘I’m absolutely refusing to fight. She said ‘I don’t feel right, I don’t feel good.’ I think that it was 90 percent mental and maybe 10 percent physical, I think a lot of fighters have had times where they don’t feel right.
