The 10th edition of Amnesia Rockfest is roughly 5 months away, and man on fire are we excited. And today, we received some big news about the event — the announcement of the first wave of bands that will be playing the three-day event that takes place from June 18th to June 21st. So, let’s just get right to it:
10th Anniversary Curators:
Tim Armstrong of Rancid will be curating the 10th Anniversary Edition and Fat Mike of NOFX will be curating the Tony Sly Stage along with Alex Martel, president and founder of Amnesia Rockfest.
15 Years of 1-2-3 Punk!
To celebrate the 15 years of 1-2-3 Punk!, the iconic ’90s/’00s punk TV show on MusiquePlus, as well as the 10 years of Amnesia Rockfest, the show’s host Rej Laplanche will be the on-stage MC for the weekend — which means a lot of French that half the audience isn’t going to understand.
First Bands Announced:
In anticipation of the full lineup, a few small surprises have been announced already:
–Rancid will be back and will perform …And Out Come The Wolves in full to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary.
–Refused will be reuniting at Amnesia Rockfest 2015.
–From Autumn to Ashes will be reuniting.
–Ministry will perform their first Quebec show in 7 years!
-Quebec metal band Blind Witness and punk rockers MAP will be reuniting.
-Raised Fist and Goldfinger will also be part of the 2015 roster.
The full lineup will be announced soon. Amnesia Rockfest offers the best rock lineup every summer and 2015 will be no different!
