The Babadook, from Jennifer Kent, is probably among the most talked about horror films of 2014, and for good reason. Although I have yet to see it, it’s clear from the trailer (above) that it taps into a common childhood fear, and that’s something most of us can relate to and something that terrifies us to be reminded of.
If you’re like me and haven’t seen The Babadook, then the news that it’s coming to Blu-ray/DVD on February 16th (UK), should make you happy… and scared. You know, because now you can bring the nightmares into your home. The film will be distributed by Icon Film Distribution in the UK on Blu-ray, DVD, and various digital platforms.
The Babadook Synopsis:
A single mother, plagued by the violent death of her husband, battles with her son’s fear of a monster lurking in the house, but soon discovers a sinister presence all around her.
