When they say “teaser,” they mean teaser. There’s really not much here, but Poland’s black/death metal giant, Behemoth, is known for some pretty tremendous videos, so this one shouldn’t be any different. The video being teased above is for the track “Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel,” which comes off the band’s upcoming album The Satanist, due out in early 2014.
The “Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel” video will premiere on December 4, 2013, as well as The Satanist‘s cover art. Russian painter and occultist, Denis Forkas, was commissioned for the cover, and the paint he used includes vocalist Nergal’s blood.
In addition to the video tease and news of the new album, Behemoth will also release a new 12″ EP. The limited-edition (2,000 copies: 1,000 white and 1,000 black, 180 gram vinyl) also includes The Satanist track “Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel,” which will be available to purchase on iTunes in early December (U.S. December 4th, EU December 6th, UK December 8th). Additional tracks, not on The Satanist, include “If I Were Cain” and a cover of “Ludzie Wschodu” (a cover of Polish post-punk new wave band Siekiera). The EP will be released as a gatefold with each copy hand numbered and signed by the band.
Pre-orders are available at indiemerch.com and at nuclearblast.de.
**Please note there will be NO digital or CD release planned for the vinyl edition!
