Despite losing to Emanuel Newton in the semifinals of Bellator’s Season 8 Light Heavyweight tournament in February, former STRIKEFORCE champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal made a beautiful comeback last night at Bellator 96. “King Mo” showed everyone that his future in the business still stands strong and that anyone who steps inside the cage with him has no room for mistakes. He defaced Seth Petruzelli with a powerful right-hand punch in full guard at 1:35 of the first round. It was an exciting finish by “King Mo,” and more like this will undoubtedly erase his last loss from memory.
If you missed the KO last night, you can check out the full fight above. “King Mo” is now set to square off with Jacob Noe at Bellator 97 on July 31, 2013, for Bellator’s Summer Series Light Heavyweight Tournament Final.
