BETA WOLFWhile there’s really only one song that can be called “Domino,” the one presented to us by Beta Wolf isn’t half bad for syrupy indie pop. Some might say the band has a pop-punk roots, but what I hear in “Domino” is more inline with some ’80s hair band power ballad. And I can definitely hear this as the backdrop to some 90210 episode or something. There’s no denying that the track is catchy, but if you’re into the heavy stuff, this won’t cut it. By the way, the real “Domino” was performed by KISS.

Los Angeles-based rock band Beta Wolf released a video for the single “Domino,” which comes from the band’s latest EP, Just Before Morning. The video takes footage from the band’s performance from Ives Concert Park in Danbury, CT, while the band was on tour with Daughtry.

Beta Wolf released Just Before Morning on July 31, while in the middle of a 3-week tour with multi-platinum Daughtry. Recorded in Bob Clearmountain’s Berkeley Street studio in Santa Monica, the band enlisted producer Fred Archambault (Avenged Sevenfold, Eighteen Visions) to lend his expertise on the album.

Prior to forming Beta Wolf, singer Grant Arnow and guitarist Sergio Ruelas were in a band called Takota signed to Island Def Jam Records. The group toured with acts such as Atreyu, From First To Last, Every Time I Die, and Chiodos.
