Cavalera Conspiracy - Blunt Force Trauma (2011)Over the last few months, the Brazilian heavy metal brothers, Max and Igor Cavalera, have been keeping there nose’s to the grindstone in an effort to release a new album called Blunt Force Trauma. This will be the second studio album under Cavalera Conspiracy (originally known as Inflikted), which was formed back in 2007.

Although, we would have liked to have seen them thrashing together with Andreas Kisser and Paulo Jr. in their former band Sepultura, but, apparently, the band was broken up because the brothers had a feud for 10 years that involved ex-manager/wife of Max Cavalera. Beyond those issues, we’re just glad that at least the two are together and doing what they’re best at, that is HARDCORE fucking heavy metal.

While Cavalera Conspiracy was in the studio, the band put out a total of six videos to hype it up and talk about their new masterpiece, Blunt Force Trauma. An album they describe as “in your face,” “raging,” “thrash,” and “hardcore,” but most of all “BRUTAL!” Max Cavalera says “music needs an album like this right now… a lot of boring shit out there!”

This is an epic year for heavy metal and you should mark March 29, 2011, in you calender for Blunt Force Trauma.
