While we’re still gearing up for Heavy MTL later this summer, we’re going to whet our appetite this year by going to the D-TOX Rockfest.
Taking place from June 11 to 17, the 2012 Rockfest is the 7th edition of the event. Located in Montebello, Quebec, and put on by Outaouais Rock, this years festival is sure to leave you battered and bruised. With over 100 bands performing, highlights on the 15th and 16th (see the lineup below), you might end up lost, confused, and wondering what to do once the music stops.
If you’re planning to make the journey to Montebello, situated between Montreal, Quebec, and Ottawa, Ontario, a mini getaway vacation, you better hurry and make some reservations – camping, marina, and hotels are still available, but they’re going to go fast. Visit www.pnrockfest.com, got to “General Info” and then “Accommodations” to find out what’s left.
The great thing about a June festival like this is that it won’t be too hot and hopefully not too many bugs, though the fest grounds are beside a river. Damn I sound like such a city boy.
The D-TOX Rockfest is known for the diversity of the bands performing (from prog metal to heavy metal to punk to hardcore to, well you name it) – and they come from around the world. There’s truly a little something for everyone. Yell! Magazine is currently in the process of securing some stellar interviews. You’ll have to come back to find out who. Oh, and we’re pleased to see that Black Veil Brides aren’t in the lineup; guess their parents wouldn’t let them out for the weekend.
Yell! Magazine hopes to see you there, but we don’t want to see you doing any of this:
