Rumors have been squashed today in regard to a PC version of Dead Rising 3 (DR3). The truth is finally out and I bet you thought for a second that Microsoft might keep a tight grip on DR3 for the Xbox One. Well, you don’t have to worry anymore because that’s not the plan the company has for game. Capcom, the developer behind this critically acclaimed survival horror video game officially announced that a PC version is on its way and is currently in development.
Dead Rising 3 served as an exclusive launch title for Xbox One, and it appears the PC version will gain more features and get all the enhancements too.
PC gamers will be able to experience the hordes of horror at high PC resolutions with fully optimized visuals for the wide screen, upgraded textures on characters, backgrounds and in-game objects. DR3 for PC will include Steam platform support with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Steam Trading Cards, global leaderboards, and full game controller support. Also compatible with the keyboard and mouse, players will be able to toggle back and forth between the two in real time.
Capcom will be showcasing DR3 (PC) among other titles next week at E3 2014 in the South Hall of the LA Convention Center. There’s no word yet on when exactly the PC version will launch, but expect a summer release.
