DevilDriver - Leaked New Song 'Dead To Rights'DevilDriver was generous enough to announce yesterday that they would allow their loyal and dedicated fans, for a limited time, to download their new single “Dead To Rights” off of the Roadrunner Records website on Monday, January 10, 2011. Unfortunately, some subscribers had early access to the song, which came on a free CD with the latest issue of Metal Hammer. This could have been a cause for the early leak, but it’s still uncertain.

Since the song is already out there, and DevilDriver has officially announced the leak, we decided to share it as well. “Dead to Rights” is a great track and we’re happy it is because we have been waiting for a teaser from DevilDriver for sometime now.

I couldn’t describe “Dead To Rights” better than the words of Panterrorist, and this is what he had to say: “Smash blasting drums, tight guitar work with some wailing solos, and a punishingly sinister false chord vocal delivery straight from the gut! Dez & Co. are fucking locked n’loaded! What a Beast!”

About the “Dead To Rights” single

“Beast is an attack from start to finish and ‘Dead To Rights’ is just the beginning of the onslaught!” states frontman Dez Fafara. “The song itself is directly about a person close to you that you know a secret about… something unseen by other eyes. You hang with this person and you are friends, but you know in your mind the ‘character,’ the ‘credible’ aspects regarding the trust of this person are in question due to the way they’ve treated someone else or others in general. You’ve got them ‘Dead To Rights…’”DevilDriver.com
