Here’s a post-rock/post-metal track and video that’s not to be missed. On “At Least I Still Have Bon Iver,” Brooklyn-based Disparager really hit the indie rock out of the park and then threw it back with some impressively heavy and sludgy metal.
The track comes from the band’s debut EP, Timeless, Ageless, produced by Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane, H2O, American Nightmare), and today the video made its worldwide premiere. Have a look at the amazing animated video in the player above.
Regarding the song, vocalist Chris AhKao comments:
The song ‘At Least I Still Have Bon Iver’ is, at its core, a redemption song. I cannot wake up and look in the mirror without acknowledging with gratitude the horrifying fact that I have been given a second chance at this life — and in more ways than one. This video, in its narrative, violence, themes, and imagery, explores the song’s spirit of redemption, and I hope you enjoy it.
