As of noon today, gamers who purchased Halo: The Master Chief Collection back in November can now take a crack at the multiplayer portion of the upcoming Xbox One exclusive title, Halo 5: Guardians. Obviously, the mode is still in the BETA phase, so don’t expect Halo 5 to have a bug-free experience online.
Although, the BETA test for Halo 5 doesn’t officially kick start until later today, fans of the series have already discovered a simple way to play the game right now. According to GameSpot, Xbox One Preview Program members and owners of The Master Chief Collection just need to “access the Halo Channel, watch all the Halo: Nightfall episodes (you can fast forward), and then select a Nightfall armor reward for Halo 5, which will then reportedly take you to a download store where Halo 5‘s beta is available.”
The multiplayer BETA for Halo 5 runs until January 18, 2015.
