Italian tech death slingers Hideous Divinity hit hard with their new track “Alonest of the Alone,” falling off their upcoming album Cobra Verde like a piece of rotting flesh on fire. The album drops on October 28th, but you can get a taste of it now in the player above. “Alonest of the Alone” features guest vocals from Nile’s Dallas Toler-Wade who comments:
It was awesome to get a chance to do some guest vocals on the record. Hideous Divinity is one of the most brutal bands out right now, and it’s an honor to be part of that brutality.
As for the album, Cobra Verde is a nine-track concept album based around the Werner Herzog’s 1987 film of the same name. Here’s the synopsis of the film on IMDB:
The feared bandit Cobra Verde is hired by a plantation owner to supervise his slaves. After the owner suspects Cobra Verde of consorting with his young daughters, the owner wishes him gone. Rather than kill him, the owner sends Cobra Verde to Africa. The only white man in the area, Cobra Verde finds himself the victim of torture and humiliation. Later, he trains soldiers in a rebel army. Far from home, Cobra Verde is on the edge of madness.
Go ahead and pre-order Cobra Verde on CD, you know it’s going to be epic!
