What would you say it is that gives the most feminine note in your look?
I’d say that it is my shoes and my make-up. I’m always wearing make-up and high heels; the first, because I have little eyes – some people think I’m Asian because of them. And the second, because I’m addicted to high heels and platforms, and because I am a little person, I measure only 1m61 [5’2″]. (Most of the time, when people meet me, the first thing they say is, “I thought you were bigger!”)
I’m pretty sure that you are very creative person.
And you’re right! I’ve always been highly creative. It began when I was a little girl, my mom bought me pencils, pens, brushes, paint, etc. and I drew throughout my childhood and adolescence. When I was 9 years old I started to write little stories. I was passionate by fashion too, and I was drawing clothes all the time. I dreamed of becoming a known author or an incredible stylist. I touch everything: cooking, sewing, drawing, singing, nail art, etc. It is simple: I need to create, it’s my drug. I stopped writing and drawing though, because I couldn’t do it anymore. The stories and characters I imagined on the paper are now the ones I play in the photo shoots.
Do you give some ideas to your photographers about a photo session (the creative part) or do you keep it professional and follow their imagination?
Most of the time the ideas come from me. It’s very rare that I follow a photographer’s idea, because at most sessions they prefer to let me decide. (I prefer too. I’ve had some bad experiences with this in the past.) I work a lot with “Kok Leng” because he always understands what I want. I create the character: clothes, make-up, hair, attitude, and we find the location – which is usually an abandoned place like a hotel room or a park, etc.
What is your favorite genre of fashion? Why?
It depends on my state of mind each day. As I said before, I love the “Pastel Goth” style because of the contrasts between sweet colors and darker accessories and make-up. I love the “Cyber Goth” style with the incredible platform shoes and sexy outfits, and the “Batcave” style with all the destroyed clothes, and fishnets, etc. I couldn’t choose between them.
