Black metal with groove? Who knew it could be done? If you’ve ever heard Norway’s Khold, then you knew it. And if you’re a fan of Khold, then you’re probably happy right now knowing that the band is back after a six-year hiatus. The band’s new album, Til Endes, was recorded at Studio Fredman and is slated for release on September 30th.
The album is already garnering praise as Khold’s strongest effort to date, and you can hear the title track at https://pitchfork.com/thepitch/419-hell-awaits-disemballerina-khold-heavydeath-and-more/. And if you’re a Sepultura fan, you’ll be interested in knowing that Khold has crafted a cover of “Troops of Doom,” retitling it “Dommens Arme,” since the entire album is in Norwegian.
Khold will make a special performance at the Brutal Assault festival (CZE) in August and a new promo video will also soon be revealed.
