One of the key gameplay and story-telling elements in L.A. Noire will be the challenge to solve a series of gruesome murder mysteries set in Los Angeles. In order to work around this challenge you will need to have a keen eye for detail and put on your detective hat to interrogate suspects, liars, criminals, and possibly your fellow agents. To fully experience and enjoy this aspect in L.A. Noire, the creators over at Team Bondi have ventured into new territory with a technology called MotionScan, which captures an over-the-top performance by an actor.

Clearly seen in this video, the facial motion capture is as good as we’ve seen and L.A. Noire will blow the doors off past and upcoming titles when it comes to lifelike renditions. Now you need to forget those important moments you had in past games where your characters expression was so dull that you nearly fell asleep during cutscenes. In L.A. Noire, the 3-D rendition of the actors’ face is so impressive that you will definitely have a pleasant experience and start dissecting the liars from the innocent.

Check out this behind-the-scenes video brought to you by Rockstar Games along with interviews with the cast and the makers. As always, we would like to hear from you an your thoughts about L.A. Noire below in the comments section.
