Fantasia Film Festival runs from July 18 until August 6 this summer, that’s pretty much in two weeks from now and we have already announced the first short list of genre films that will be playing during the annual festival in Montreal.
If that didn’t get you excited enough, which we highly doubt since The Conjuring, Halley, Return to Nuke ‘Em High, Vol. One, Willow Creek are among the ones listed, and many more are confirmed, including world premieres from around the globe. This second wave of films, first reported by Fangoria, might just reassure you that festival lives up to previous years. Personally, I’ll always remember the day Manborg played last year, and I’m pretty sure one of the films listed below will have the same impact on me.
So here we go again!
Shield of Straw
Shield of Straw is a 2013 Japanese thriller film directed by Takashi Miike. It was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and will be released in the spring of 2013.
