Listen To Fear Factory’s New Single “ProtoMech” [VIDEO]

If you enjoyed Fear Factory’s first single release in June from their upcoming album Genexus, then you have to check out their new track “ProtoMech.” It’s pretty damn heavy and I personally enjoying it much more than “Soul Hacker“. But it’s still your typical Fear Factory song, nothing all that different here. However, lyrically, the band continues to develop their love for machines blending in with humanity.

According to vocalist Burton C. Bell via Rolling Stone, the song is about nano- technology, which is the next stage of human evolution.

For us, this is the next stage of evolution for humanity, where nano-technology and machines and bionics become so much a part of us that the differentiation between human and machine becomes invisible. We were Cro-Magnon. Now we are the Genexus. Once we decide on the title, the concept and music really came together.

Genexus hits the street on August 7, 2015 via Nuclear Blast. A special pre-listening party of the entire album takes place on July 23, 2015 at The Complex in Glendale, Calif.
