Macabre is a 2009 Indonesian film that will finally be getting a run on limited-edition DVD on November 5th and a stream on November 1st, at Bloody-Disgusting.com.
When we first announced this film from The Mo Brothers, Kimo Stamboel and Timo Tjahjanto, last week, I compared it to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, but as one of our astute readers pointed out (forgive the grammar as he’s not a native English speaker):
The film have very little or nothing in common with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And it’s a hell of intense and brutal film very recommended if you have a strong stomach.
The Chain Saw comparison remains to be seen, but our reader couldn’t be more right about needing a strong stomach to watch this film, as the “Chainsaw” clip above demonstrates. This might be the most graphic and bloodiest decapitation scene I’ve ever witnessed. If you’re not a Horror veteran, I don’t recommend watching this. And, honestly, I think that if anyone were in this victim’s situation, they would pass out before the chains touch down.
While slightly talking about comparisons, I’ve always been one to compare new things to old things. I generally don’t mean anything bad about it, its just the way I’m wired. And now, with this new clip of Macabre, I’m drawing comparisons to SAW and to The Human Centipede.
I certainly hope you’ll be tuning into BloodyDisgusting on November 1st, I know I will be.
