Machete Kills, the sequel to Robert Rodriguez’ action exploitation hit, Machete, will once again feature Danny Trejo as Machete Cortez. This time around he’s hired by the U.S. president (Charlie Sheen) for a brutal mission to fight his way through Mexico to take out arms dealer Luther Voz (Mel Gibson), the evil tormenting villain who’s planning to launch a deadly weapon into space to spread war across the planet.
The film is currently in production, and William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption) was recently added to the huge roster of celebrity stars, which include Jessica Alba, Edward James Olmos, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Demian Bichir, Michelle Rodriguez, Lady Gaga, and Alexa Vega.
Extra had a chance to visit the set of Machete Kills to chat with the controversial man, Mel Gibson, about his new character. Find out his honest answer in the video above.
Filming started on June 11, 2012, and Machete Kills is expected to see a 2013 release.
