Pop-punk band, Makeout, gave us the cool breakup track “Secrets,” and now they’re giving us the newly released “Childish.” To be honest, “Childish” is catchy and fun, but the straight edge slam in the lyrics comes off kinda pretentious, and as a song expressing the desire to get back to where things started in a relationship by the other party reversing the changes that he/she is going through is selfish and controlling.
The lyric video for “Childish” has also been released, however, why it’s a lyric video is beyond comprehension as the lyrics are perfectly intelligible.
“Childish” can be found on Makeout’s album The Good Life, which was released this past September, and their first on Rise Records.
