Contrarian‘s new album, Polemic, is not to be missed… especially if you’re a death metal fan. And this album goes far beyond your average death metal tropes.
The album was released on November 20th, Contrarian blends death metal, of course, with progressive, jazz, flamenco, NWOBHM, black metal, Goth, and much more, including some electronic elements. It’s a bizarre mix of genres, but it works beautifully. And what’s more, it doesn’t sound forced or like various musicians trying to steal the spotlight from one another.
