You have got to hear this! “Unnamed” from Seattle’s Brothers of the Sonic Cloth is just a heavy blast of everything there is to love about doom metal. A soft, ethereal intro, deep and rich riffs, throat-destroying vocals, pounding percussion, and more. Head on over to NPR.org to have your chest crushed.
The track is available on the band’s self-titled debut, which was released today. Order the album on CD, MP3, and vinyl.
Fronted by legendary guitarist/vocalist Tad Doyle – formerly of TAD and Hog Molly – alongside veteran bassist Peggy Doyle and drummer Dave French (The Anunnaki), the trio’s debut was tracked at at Robert Lang Studios and Doyle’s own Witch Ape Studio in Seattle, Washington, mixed by Billy Anderson (Sleep, High On Fire, Melvins et al) and serves as Doyle’s first recorded release in nearly 15 years.
