If you’re a fan of the Soska Sisters, then get ready to be a fan of Jessica Cameron. Hell, you might already be because she isn’t a fresh face in the horror scene at all. Cameron launched her horror directing career with an award-winning film titled Truth or Dare, and helmed several shorts in 2013, including a segment (Blood Orange) for the Soska Sisters’ Blood Drive PSA.
Her most ambitious project, Mania, is coming up real soon. In fact, it’s already scheduled to hit the film festival circuit later this year. Perhaps we’ll see its premiere at Fantasia? Most likely not since the deadline for movie submission is running tight, but if we ask for it, then I’m sure some form of movie magic can happen.
Mania is one of three features that Cameron filmed simultaneously while traveling across the United States in an RV. It’s a horror film that revolves “around two lesbian lovers who flee their home and travel cross-country after a brutal murder.” The movie stars Ellie Church (Time to Kill, Headless) in the lead role of Mel.
Cameron teased Mania with this fantastic little trailer earlier this week and also shared a few thoughts on the teaser:
I’m so excited to share this fun little tease from my feature Mania. This is one of the sexiest films that I have seen in long time, and I know fans are going to love it as much as I do. This film is as naughty as Truth Or Dare is dirty.
Enjoy and make sure to spread the word!
