We’ve made some noise for the yet-to-be made Megafoot movie because, quite frankly, Bigfoot is awesome. The only way to make Bigfoot awesomer is to make him a cybernetic soldier. Also, if you’re going to make a movie about Bigfoot, you owe it to genre fans to make it a creature feature and to use a man-in-a-suit approach. Thankfully the filmmakers on the Megafoot project are thinking the same way… and they have some integrity for sticking to their guns.
We were recently contacted by a member of the Megafoot team to thank us for our support and to give us an update on the film’s progress. Here’s what he had to say:
[sic] Over the last few weeks we’ve had a few proposals from studios who would like to turn MEGAFOOT into a CGI-based formula film. But, in order to give horror fans what they would actually like to see – a movie with bad-ass practical FX – we’re hanging our hopes on this Indiegogo campaign. If you like what you see, and would like to see it with glorious practical FX and not crappy CGI, please share this newest video. With your help we can bring MEGAFOOT to life the right way.
Isn’t that the kind of filmmakers you want behind such a project? Our contact was also kind enough to point us in the direction of a storyboard video of Megafoot’s opening sequence. It’s not really safe for work, so use your own judgement when watching the video in the player above.
If you’d like to help make this insanely awesome of an idea for a film happen, then help the filmmakers out on IndieGoGo (unfortunately there aren’t any GoGo dancers there).
