People who still hate on former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson should ease up on the man because he is still struggling with the past, and Tyson is paying the price for it. For years, most of Tyson’s fights inside the four sided ring was seamless, but now his biggest challenge yet seems to be with himself. Drug and Alcohol use has always been a part of his life, however, in recent years it was impossible to tell if he was under the influence because it just never showed in public appearances.
Like, when was the last time you saw a bizarre outburst from Tyson? Anyone recall anything?
It’s all true, Tyson was a bad dude in the past, and did stuff that embarrassed his sport. At least he was never afraid to tell the truth about it in interviews, and I’m still surprised to this day on how open he is with himself. In my opinion, most people are cowards since it’s hard enough for anyone to deal with their own nightmares in the privacy of your home. So you got to respect Tyson for unveiling to the public that he hasn’t been sober at all.
In a recent press conference for Friday Fight Nights and the debut of Tyson’s career serving as a promoter, he admits to lying about his sobriety and after six days of being clean he is “never going to use again.”
A TV movie directed by Spike Lee entitled Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, which is currently filming may elaborate further about Tyson’s drug and alcohol abuse. The film is expected to be released in December 2013.
Let’s wish him the best of luck!
