In a few more weeks, Spike’s original series The Mist will finally premiere on the network for horror hounds. As many of you already know the series is based on Stephen King’s novella of the same name, which has been entirely reimagined for television.
Ahead of its highly-anticipated premiere, a new behind-the-scenes video featuring the cast and crew discuss King’s legacy and influence.
Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
Previously, Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption) also directed a film adaptation of the novel in 2007, which was very well received with critics. The film stared Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden, and Laurie Holden.
The Mist, a brand new 10 episode serialized drama premieres on Thursday, June 22 at 10 PM, ET/PT on Spike TV.
