It’s not like the MMA scene is unfamiliar territory for Herschel Walker, the 1982 Heisman Trophy Winner and former NFL running back who holds two successful wins in STRIKEFORCE. Just to recap his short-lived MMA career, Walker stopped Greg Nagy in January of 2010, and a year later defeated Scott Carson via TKO at 3:13 of the first round in San Jose, California. Overall, very impressive wins to say the least. In spite of the fact that it has been already over two years since he last fought, Walker recently told a radio show that he wants to fight one last time, and he wants it to be “in the UFC.”
On a segment of The LaVar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes on 106.7 The Fan in Washington, DC, Walker commented the following,
“I would love to do it again… I absolutely love MMA. I think it’s an excellent sport… If I was younger, I would be doing it right now. Because I’m a little bit older and I have a business going, I would like to do one more fight and then, I think, it’s time for me step aside and give it to the young people. But I would love to do one more fight.”
There are no reports yet on a response from UFC President Dana White, who previously has never seemed too interested in signing Walker, according to MMA Fighting.
