Honestly, when most kids tell their parents that they want to pursue a career as a professional musician they get some story about stability, their future, and money. Kids don’t usually get parental support, let alone dad joining a blackened/grindcore band called Vomit Fist. But so it goes for the father-son duo comprised of 17-year-old drummer Leo “Lurkrot” Didkovsky and guitarist/composer dad Nick “Vürdoth” Didkovsky.
Joined by vocalist Malcolm “Skrag the Screecher” Hoyt, their band is called Vomit Fist, and they call New York City home.
Vomit Fist’s recently released debut digital EP, Forgive But Avenge, will be made available in hard copy CD format via independent release on October 28, 2014. Take a listen to the track “Under The Rind” in the player above. It’s a short and intense little ditty that will have you hitting “replay” a few times, and you’ll never look at fruit the same way again.
