Finally, the final episode of NOLA: Life, Death & Heavy Blues from the Bayou, episode 7. It’s been too short, but thank you for the education and the great music.
In this final episode we all meet up at Phil Anselmo’s home for a crawfish boil, which is a special occasion in Louisiana. But before we arrive, we check in with all the players throughout this documentary for a final word on their home, their music, scene, and sound. It might be Sammy Duet who delivers the punch when he talks about the friendly competition between the NOLA bands to see who comes up with the heaviest riff, but it’s Phil Anselmo who knocks us out when he teaches us a life lesson… how to eat crawfish.
