Bates Motel PosterWe previously reported a number of video teasers for Bates Motel, an upcoming TV series on A&E. Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, the show will interpret the early life of a sweet boy named Norman Bates and his loving mother, Norma, before the events that took place in Psycho. Finally, on March 18th, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, we jump right into the first episode, “First You Dream, Then You Die”, directed by Tucker Gates. Yes, A&E is skipping the usual pilot and has nine more episodes to come in Season 1.

Bates Motel features Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates, Vera Farmiga as Norma Bates, and Max Thieriot as Norman’s older brother, Dylan. With the premiere of the series to come very soon, we have another short preview of what’s to come in Season 1 in this new promo clip for Bates Motel.

    Everything about this show makes me so excited for it to
    premiere. It is really going to take a unique direction with Norman’s life, and
    I can’t wait to find out more about him and his mother. This is one show that I
    am making sure not to miss, so I am glad that I don’t risk it with my DISH
    Anywhere app. My job at DISH requires me to travel a lot, so I stay caught up
    with shows by setting my DVR to record all of the seasons. My app then can
    stream shows recorded on my DVR, in addition to live TV, right to my tablet. It’s
    amazing that I never have to fall behind on anything I watch, even if I am on
    the go. It will especially come in handy when The Bates Motel airs, I wouldn’t
    miss out on the chance to see what factors made Norman into the person he
    became.
