It’s official boys and girls, MTV has picked up Scream to series with a 10-episode order, which will debut sometime in October 2015 on the network. A piece of news Scream fans have been waiting for a very longtime came yesterday via to a creepy Twitter post. MTV tweeted a bunch of bloody smiles along with a phone number (310-461-4299) that you can call and listen to an eerie message from the Ghostface killer that should be familiar to most of you.

Unfortunately, if you’re looking forward in seeing the Ghostface killer appear in the show, then you will be disappointed to hear that iconic Scream outfit won’t be worm by any killers in the first season, or possibly never. However, the costumes right holder and manufacturer, R.J. Torbert, believes Ghostface might appear at a later date.
To answer your question regarding the SCREAM T.V. SERIES. Please note, that I had been in communication with TWC regarding this and they have informed me, that as of now, and during the initial launch that GHOST FACE is not involved in the new format. They also indicated that because of this direction, it does not mean, that Ghost Face® will not be involved at a later date. So, there is still a question , to the question. However, as of now, there is no involvement.
The pilot episode for Scream was directed by Jamie Travis (Faking It) off a script by Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin (Criminal Minds, Revenge) without the involment of Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original script.
