The Walking Dead comic book creator, Robert Kirkman, is well on his way to becoming one of TV’s giants. From The Walking Dead to Fear the Walking Dead to, now, Outcast, it seems that Kirkman’s arch isn’t plateauing anytime soon.
As you probably know, the New York Comic Con (NYCC) is underway, and at the event Cinemax screened the new trailer for Outcast, a creepy-sounding tale about demonic possession. Read the description below and watch the trailer above.
Outcast Synopsis:
Based on the Skybound/Image comic title by Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta, the series follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now, with the help of the Reverend Anderson, a preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers and regain the normal life he lost. But what Kyle discovers could change his fate — and the fate of the world — forever.
Outcast‘s pilot episode is directed by Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest). The series stars Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl) as Barnes, Philip Glenister as Reverend Anderson, and Gabriel Bateman as Joshua Austin, an 8-year-old who lives across town from Kyle and appears to be in the clutches of demonic possession, but there’s something very different about this possession and its connection to Kyle Barnes.
