It’s been awhile since we last talked about this, but the big announcement right now is that Phase 4 Films will release the new Patrick movie on March 14th in select U.S. theaters and on VOD. The film, directed by Mark Hartley, has taken a slightly different title than the 1978 original from director Richard Franklin, now adding the subtitle “Evil Awakens.”
Fangoria got some exclusive pics, which we’ve included here for your benefit.
Patrick: Evil Awakens stars Sharmi Vinson (You’re Next) as nurse Kathy Jacquard, Charles Dance (Game of Thrones, Aliens 3, Underworld: Awakening) as Doctor Roget, Jackson Gallagher as the titular character, and Rachel Griffiths (Blow, Six Feet Under) as Matron Cassidy.

The vague description of the film goes as such:
After killing his mother and her lover some years before, Patrick is the comatose patient in room 15 of a remote, private psychiatric clinic.
Fango offered something much juicier:
Nurse Kathy Jacquard begins work at a remote, Gothic psychiatric hospital and is introduced to Patrick, a comatose patient being experimented on by Head Doctor Roget and his second-in-command, Matron Cassidy. Kathy soon discovers that Patrick has telekinetic abilities, which violently threaten the lives of everyone at the clinic.
