Ex Machina is a stylish, psychological thriller from Alex Garland, the writer of 28 Days Later and DREDD. The sci-fi film blew away critics at its U.S. premiere at the 2015 SXSW Film Festival and also had a very successful run in theaters. Now, Ex Machina is hoping to get the same treatment on the small screen and gain new fans on Blu-ray/DVD. With that said, the disc format of Ex Machina is officially slated for release on July 14, 2015.
For those interested in watching Garland’s directorial debut, you can get an early look at the cover art of the Blu-ray and get a good idea of all the special features. The Blu-ray will be packed with spellbinding extras including an in-depth behind-the-scenes featurette that examines the story development, the cast and characters, the production design, cinematography, and location shooting in Norway, costumes and make-up, and, finally, visual effects along with a wrap-up. The discs also contain a Q&A with cast and crew from SXSW and eight vignettes.
Ex Machina will be available on Blu-ray and DVD for the suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.98, respectively.
