Westworld is labeled as HBO’s next Game of Thrones, so I’m sure fans of both worlds are going to tune in on Sunday to watch the very first episode. Ahead of the science fiction thriller set in a futuristic Western-themed world, HBO has given us another intriguing glimpse at what’s to come in the premiere of the series.
Inspired by the 1973 motion picture of the same name, which was written and directed by Michael Crichton. The cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, and Sidse Babett Knudsen, just to name a small few.
WESTWORLD is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.
The one-hour drama series kicks off its ten-episode season Sunday, October 2 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
